Yes. Unsurprising but still shocking.
What exactly is the point of this video? Are they trying to say that just because a person is black, he is more likely to be on the Registry? Or is there racism with detectives and DA’s? Or is it the Judges who are racist? There was no proof or even any evidence that blacks are being discriminated against in this video. There is no cause and effect based on the color of one’s skin. The last time I checked you get placed on the Registry because of the particular crime you commit and are convicted of, not because the policeman social profiled you. So, can you prove that blacks are being convicted of sex crimes unfairly and without evidence? If you can, I’m with you, but if you can’t, this is fake news. The other possibility, God forbid, is that a higher percentage of the black population commit sex crimes than their white citizen counterparts. I support NARSOL, but you have to have more evidence than just stating that in all these states there are more blacks on the list than whites. What is the real reason for that? Don’t try to make the reader assume it’s just discrimination or racism, because it may not be.
The point of the video is to show what has already been largely proven by studies, that blacks are disproportionately represented on the sex offense registry. You can draw your own conclusions about how and why that happens. The fact that some 95-97% of all convictions are NOT the result of a trial, but of often coercive plea bargaining is certainly one factor. Unless you believe that one race is inherently more criminal than another, then systemic racism would be the logical conclusion.

Or, do you understand that many on the registry were subjected to a massive overreach of governmental authority who overwhelmingly approach the judicial system with a “guilty until proven innocent” approach, which is often too much to overcome for the average person who finds themselves the target of sexual abuse allegations?

I agree with you in the sense that the video doesn’t really show any documented proof regarding the disparity between blacks and whites. But in saying this regardless of race, law enforcement does and do entrap and coerce people into taking please for sex crimes that they did not commit. Also unfortunately America is a guilty until proven innocent country and the judicial and justice departments as well as the FBI, police and other parties are very corrupt.
There are more blacks than whites playing professional basketball . Is that proof positive that the NBA discriminates against white players . Do you see how ridiculous these racial arguments are .
The real discrimination is wealth NOT race . America has all the justice you can afford . If you have money you can avoid all the consequences imposed on the poor . Just ask OJ . He too is black .
Hi, well in response to the comments on proof that blacks are pulled over, arrested, convicted more than all other races, I didn’t watch the video but I have seen and read the studies on this subject. Blacks then Hispanic, then Asian, ect. So it is true.
